Pragma Bed Mattress Platform – Quad-Fold vs. Sleep Master – Platform Metal Bed Frame/Foundation (Queen) Review
Since I’m convinced that memory foam mattresses are necessary in avoiding back pain, I’m always grateful that I bought the products for family use.I’ve been using the sleeping materials for months now, but I’ve noticed that I still have a problem to solve. I guess there will come a time when people will need to buy a bed frame for memory foam mattress.
Basically, I just love it how our entire family came to love memory foam mattresses. My kids loved it so much they jumped up and down on it. One day, as I was doing some general cleaning in their room I noticed some sagging underneath the bed. I’ve admitted that another dilemma needs careful scrutiny on my part. I don’t know if it was due to their jumping on the mattress or if it’s due to the box spring.
A few days later, I told my relatives and friends about my predicament. A friend suggested that I get rid of the box springs and get a bed frame specially designed for memory foam mattress. I did a little research and was a bit convinced about my friend’s suggestion. So, I completed several trips to the store and several hours looking on the Internet.
I found two metal frame beds that seem to be great options. Well, one is slightly more affordable than the other. Seeing both bed frames for the first time will make you think that they’re pretty much the same. But after some close inspection, you’ll notice some significant differences.
The first bed frame in question is the Pragma Bed Mattress Platform – Quad-Fold. No Box Spring needed and the second one is the Sleep Master – Platform Metal Bed Frame/Foundation (Queen) – Perfect for Spring, Latex, and Memory Foam Mattresses. I think both of these bed frames are pretty good but I guess I’ll just have to settle for one. Here are my thoughts on these two products.
OPTION 1: Pragma Bed Mattress Platform – Quad-Fold. No Box Spring Needed
It is easy to put together. Putting together this metal bed frame together is not difficult. When the lady in one of the sleep shops/bed stores showed me how this thing works, I thought the Pragma bed mattress platform – quad-fold is easy to put together.
- It is sturdy. Sure, this thing is made of metal, but I had to be sure that it can hold my weight. So, as soon as I was able to put it together at home, I laid down on it. After that, I let the kids have a go and they jumped on the thing with the mattress on top. Now I know that it’s tough. No squeaking sounds ever since I bought the dear thing.
Option 2: Sleep Master – Platform Metal Bed Frame/Foundation (Queen)
This is a cheaper option. I think this is a good option in case you have some sort of a budget constraint. This double bed frame is the more affordable option between these two products under review. Yep, you’re not getting a single frame that can carry a queen size bed. You’re actually getting two bed frames put together by a couple of screws.
- It is easy to assembly. Just like option number one above, this queen bed frame is easy to put together. It also supports a memory foam mattress pretty well and prevents any sagging. The only issue I have with this platform bed is that it isn’t as tough as Pragma bed frame.

I know that the Pragma Bed Mattress Platform – Quad-Foldis the better option between these two products under consideration. It’s sturdier and it hasn’t squeaked on me since the day I bought it. Even though the price is higher than the Sleep Master – Platform Metal Bed Frame/Foundation (Queen), it is made of high quality materials and was designed with maximum comfort in mind.
